About

Wesley, a self-taught artist and musician since childhood, honed his artistic skills through textbooks, old master studies, figure drawing classes, and extensive experimentation. His diverse toolkit includes charcoal, pencils, oil and acrylic paints, as well as digital tools like laptops and iPads for photography and editing.

His vibrant artworks evoke strong emotions by juxtaposing saturated colors with deep shadows, often featuring musicians and performers in action. Notable pieces like “CHANGO” (2019), “Keys” (2020), and “Current Jazz” (2019) showcase his talent.

Despite majoring in biology at Oklahoma State University, Wesley continued to pursue his passion for art and garnered awards from elementary to college levels. After graduation, he relocated to California, exhibiting his work and accepting portrait commissions in various cities.

Wesley participated in events like the California Native Arts Expo (2018), National Art In The Redwoods (2021), and the 29th Studio Discovery Tour (2021). In February 2022, he returned to Oklahoma, collaborating with local businesses, hosting live painting events, and running the “Integrated OKC” podcast, bringing local artists and musicians into the spotlight. Recent exhibitions include “Color of Art” (Scissortail Park, 2022), “Pancakes And Booze” (Old Farmers Market, 2022), and “Underground Coffee” (Sept-Dec 2022).
